Cardiovascular diseases are still the leading cause of death. Many of the deaths are caused by narrowing or blockage of the arteries (atherosclerosis). Cholesterol plays a decisive role in this disease and this is largely preventable.
Atherosclerosis is a process without pain or other symptoms in which fatty deposits containing cholesterol on artery walls. These clusters occur in the manner of bumps called atherosclerotic plaques. As a board, the internal caliber of the artery narrows and blood flow decreases.

What is cholesterol?

Cholesterol is a waxy substance and is similar to the fat (lipids). Often referring to it is considered a poison, without taking into account that it is essential to live. Cholesterol is essential for cell membranes of the body, the insulation of the nerves and the production of certain hormones. excessive LDL particles in the blood if the liver cells are not normally these particles or very few LDL receptors in the liver, excess cholesterol deposits in artery walls.
It is at this point that high-density lipoprotein or HDL is its role as "good." In fact, bind to cholesterol deposited on artery walls and transports it to the liver for disposal. The situation may be difficult if they continue up too much LDL cholesterol particles in the walls of the arteries. Can You Iron A Projector

Iranian Feminist Art

I've always been fascinated by the art vein emanating from Iran. I like in general, Persian poetry (Rumi) and film (eg Abbas Kiarostami) I love them. But one of the things I have love his art is feminist. Here are two examples that I think might like:

On the left we have a very special comic strip author Marjane Satrapi whose album "Persepolis" tells of her childhood in Iran during the Shah's Regmi to late 70. Presecución speaks of the progressive policy the feminist struggle to prevent cuts to the rights of freedom of women

To the right a picture of my favorite photographer: Shirin Neshat . Your photos, mostly in black and white, are inherently incredible. But it was overcome with Persian calligraphy portraits which led to worldwide fame. Although simple, the idea is no less bright. And they are beautiful. Neshat also makes video installations as "Shadow under the web" - A short piece made of two simultaneously projected on opposite walls. I was lucky enough to see it made about 8 years in an art gallery (Tensta Konsthall) in Stockholm suburdbio. As I recall, the result of composition is that we almost feel part of the successively. The viewer has set aside a room full of men, all facing forward, and on the other hand, the same room but almost empty, with one woman. First sings one of the men with all the admiration of their peers. When finished, the woman answers with a song bleak. While singing the men only stay with folded arms, silently watching her with cold eyes.

The fact that communication between both worlds through the fourth causes we can not remain as mere passive spectators but makes us eyewitnesses. The effect is really strong. I really dug.
